Exhibited Goodman Gallery

“In 1984 I started to use bronze casting. South Africa was on the brink of a civil war and I made a series of around twenty war machines. The casting was done at an industrial foundry, at that time there were no good artistic foundries.  I worked directly in beeswax, modelling and constructing each unique sculpture using the ceramic shell investment technique. This allowed for very high resolution. The artist does the fettling, welding and patination. These were exhibited on a road we constructed which wound through Goodman Gallery in Johannesburg.”
